Lenten Soup Supper

The Joyce Cafe, an Alexandria gem delivered on every level, from ambiance to execution. The interior strikes the perfect balance between elegant and comfortable, with soft lighting and thoughtfully spaced tables that allow for intimate conversation. We started with the corn chowder, which featured high-quality ingredients paired with house-made garlic and other warmed bread selections.

For mains, I chose the baked pasta, which arrived perfectly cooked with crispy perfection complimenting unctuous al dente pasta.  The accompanying salad selection provided a lovely fresh contrast, while the Costco lemonade added tartness and balance to the indulgent dinner. The dessert cookie selection was equally impressive, with perfectly baked decadent treats. In summary, Ryan Joyce and his staff provided a fine effort that fed Fathers Hathaway, Clem, Meyerhofer and Searby and parishioners with a sumptuous repast.  Thanks to all the brothers who, under Ryan’s deft direction, came forward to deliver a fine supper for all. Vivat Jesus!
