As we move into the second quarter of the year, 2025, Council 459 looks forward to celebrating 125 years at the first parish in the State of Virginia. Unfortunately, the Council finds itself in 2025 with 220 brothers on the rolls with less than 25% meeting their obligation to pay annual dues.
We implore brothers to reconsider supporting the Council with annual dues and volunteer hours. The Council asks for your support for an event or 25 hours a year in volunteer time and participation in our monthly business meetings. We have opportunities almost every month to support collection of food, funds for charity, winter coats for the less fortunate, vocations to the religious life, pro-life activities and service to our parish and community.
Due to the less than stellar response to the appeal for annual dues, we will send a final dues notice by mail later this month. Please pray fully consider supporting your council in our efforts to continue our support for the parish, community, state and outreach efforts to marginalized communities across the world. Thanks for your consideration in supporting the Council going forward. Should dues payment prove a hardship, please reach out to the Council. We can work with financial challenges and hope that you might consider volunteering time, if workable, in support of the Council.
